It gives me great pleasure to certify that Mr. Riyaz Nasim had been one of my best students during my Professorship in English in Government Inter College, Kasur, during the years 1990-92. Though after that he went to a bigger college and even to a bigger life in Lahore, yet always and everywhere he had been in contact with me through correspondence. I can safely say that he has been one of the best students not only in the life of examination but also, and what is more important, in the examination of life. To the reading and writing of English he has always been genuinely devoted, and I have watched him flower and fructify like an acorn, spreading roots below and branches upward. I have every reason to hope that he will one day become a mighty oak. What I valued most to him was real devotion to the cause of betterment of social life, and he has been one of my closet co-workers in various experiments to improve education and give the students a real taste for learning to live and not merely for living to learn, pass examination, get a job, and breed a family. I have not the slightest doubt that he will do well and go far in life be sheer dint of merit.
