OFFICE MEMORNDUM

Dear Sir,

It is a brief communication conveyed in the third person for inter departmental activities, and is commonly known as “Memo”:-

“The undersigned is directed to inform all offices that in future no peon employed anywhere should be less than a marticulate so that opportunities may be created for the educated unemployed in Government offices.

By the order of

X.Y.R.

Minister of Employment.

RESOLUTION

Resolutions are frequently passed by the Government outlining certain of important policy on certain subjects for the guidance f all subordinate offices. Here is an example:-

Resolution No. PQR/555/94

Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Labour.

The question of providing employment to all the unemployment to all the unemployed in the country has been under the active consideration of the Government of Pakistan, but one of the difficulties in the way has been that the Government is unable to impose communist type totalitarian methods which guarntee employment to every citizen, nor can it follow the Anglo methods which give pension to the unemployment as a sort of state subsidy because we do not possess financial resources to that extent. Hence the sound policy evolved by the Pakistan Cabinet is to take out what is best in both he eastern and western ways of life. In accordance with our policy of neutrality it has been decided that in future all children born in 196 or after shall be provided with full employment in civil or military insitutions as the case may be. Those having already reached the superannuation age, should be immediately pensioned off so that vacancies can be created for the younger people.
